In December 2007, shortly after the movie about the Thalidomide scandal had aired on German television, Grünenthal – for the first time ever – officially met with representatives of the German Federal Association of Thalidomide Victims. The meeting was supposed to be the beginning of a dialogue between Grünenthal and German Thalidomiders.
