Thalidomide was sold in Great Britain between April 1958 and November 1961 by Grünenthal licensee Distillers (now Diageo) under various trade-names, with “Distaval” being the most popular one.
Other preparations Distillers sold in Britain combined thalidomide with other drugs, like Asmaval for asthma, Tensival for hypertension or Valgraine for migraine.
