An actuarial report ordered by the Thalidomide Trust concluded that the Fund would run out by 2009.
Guinness, which bought Distillers in the mid 80’s, agreed to pay another 2.5 million pounds a year up to 2009, which was later extended by Guinness’s successor, Diageo, to 2022.
