Dr. Horst Holthoff, a leading physician at a hospital in Cologne, informed Grünenthal about “probable polyneuritis” in his hands and feet. He had taken Contergan regularly over a period of 7 months and asked if Grünenthal has heard of similar cases.
The company responded, again saying they have never heard of anything like that.
