Düsseldorf neurologist Dr. Ralph Voss notified Grünenthal again, for the second time, saying he diagnosed three of his patients with polyneuritis. All three of them had taken Contergan regularly for over a year. Voss said he believed “in the possibility of a toxic damage after a chronic Contergan intake.”
