By Dec. 1957, the instruction leaflets that came with the Contergan preparations, no longer mentioned the possibility of “unrest and states of excitement”. Also, the instruction that the dosage should be discussed with a doctor, was gone.
The description “absolute non-toxic” on the other hand was specifically highlighted in the typeface on the instructions leaflet.
