is a film about Thalidomide, a drug made by Grünenthal which severely disabled thousands of babies in the 60's and caused the worst pharmaceutical scandal in history.
Thalidomide was distributed around the world to well over 47 countries. It was marketed aggressively by Grünenthal as a sedative and then as a morning sickness antidote for pregnant women. It became so popular that only Bayer aspirin could beat Thalidomide in sales.
